Speaking at the cross

Since 1984, the Adam von Trott Foundation has been organizing annual public celebrations on 20 July at the cross on Tannenberg to commemorate the anniversary of the assassination of Adolf Hitler on 20 July 1944. On this occasion, public figures are invited to give a speech at the cross and discuss with participants of the commemoration. We have already hosted numerous prominent speakers, including Foreign Minister Heiko Maas (2019), Bishop Dr. Martin Hein (2013), Prof. Margot Käßmann (2011) and many others.
